Stains of Thought
I have substituted "colour" for "thought". Even though my stains are in fact of colour, colours made from chemicals, resin, emulsion, pigment, synthetic or derived from the earth, have captured a fleeting moment of my thought. Thought that cannot be seen, than cannot be felt, that cannot be touched, that would remain forever fleeting and hidden from visible comprehension; that would not exist except through these stains of colour. The stains of my thought do not record, do not report, do not copy the symbols and figures that surround our humanity, rather they create. They are not a judgement, but a reflection, an interpretation... they seek to create a sensation, the passion of a life... that struggles not to be extinguished.
